I have created cheats for a lot of palm games in the past. In the beginning I just figured them out and told the masses--allowing them to
choose when to use them. Now, however, I find that many people are using the cheats the first time they play through the game. For me this is unacceptable. I now include this disclaimer with all my cheats(past and present):
DO NOT USE THIS CHEAT UNTIL YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE GAME AT LEAST ONCE! This is done for a few reasons. First, if you use this cheat to beat the game the first time then you have not beaten the game at all. Even if you don't use the cheat the second time, you still know what you are facing and so it is easier. Second, using the cheat the fist time around ruins not only the end, but also the games replay ability. I want everyone to enjoy this wonderful game in its entirety at least once. Then if you want you can use this cheat to come back and kick the games butt from here to Japan and back. So, what have we learned so far?
DO NOT USE THIS CHEAT UNTIL YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE GAME AT LEAST ONCE!

-Programs Required-

All of my cheats are done right on the palm so you will need these two palm programs installed in order to use this cheat:

TankPilot - the game of course (Either the Full version or the demo)

RsrcEdit - A very good on-board resource editor

-A few Assumptions-

At this point I will assume several things related to the use of this cheat:

That you, the reader, understand the palm basics including but not limited to:

1) Entering information into the palm device using Graffiti or the on-screen keyboard.
2) How to install third party programs onto the palm.

That you already have both required programs installed onto your palm device

That you have read and now understand all the information included with TankPilot and RsrcEdit, and that

you understand the two programs themselves.

That you, the reader, will not hold myself or anyone else save for yourself liable for any damages or loss of both files and

functionality that may result, directly or indirectly, from following the below instructions. (I don't anticipate any problems but I still got to cover my butt... You understand right? ^_^)

-What it Does-

This cheat gives you:

255 lives

255 bombs

Access any level

Jump to Level activated

-The Cheat: Steps and Procedures-

First of all, after installation, you need to start a new game. It is not necessary that you play any of the levels, and if you have the ability
to register this program you should do it now. (There IS actually a way to register this program using RsrcEdit and without buying this application, but I'm NOT in that business, and will NOT reveal it here.) After you have done this, you should use RsrcEdit and open the record "TaNK 0" in the file called "Saved Preferences."

To activate the cheats do the following:

NOTE: CHANGE ONLY THE INDICATED UNDERLINED VALUE! EVEN IF YOUR LINES DON'T LOOK EXACTLY LIKE THE ONES BELOW. THIS IS A PRODUCT OF THIS PROGRAMS REGISTRATION SYSTEM!

To jump to any level increase the following underlined value in line 0000:

line 0000: 006b000100000003

NOTE: Do NOT exceed 32 with this HEX value, which is equal to 50. This will cause a crash.

For 255 lives increase the following underlined value in line 0000 to FF:

line 0000: 006b000100000003

For 255 bombs increase the following underlined value in line 0008 to FF:

line 0008: 0001000300170e25

To activate the "Jump to Level" option change the following underlined value in line 0008 to 1F:

line 0008: 0001000300170e25

This cheat will work on TankPilot v1.10 at least. It also may work on the releases below this version.
