    • -Gameplay Disclaimer-
    I have created cheats for alot of plam games in the past. In the begining I just figured them out and told the masses--allowing them to
    choose when to use them. Now, however, I find that many people are useing the cheats the first time they play through the game. For me this is unacceptable. I now include this disclaimer with all my cheats(past and preasent):
    DO NOT USE THIS CHEAT UNTILL AFTER YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE GAME AT LEAST ONCE! This is done for a few reasons. First, if you use this cheat to beat the game the first time then you have not beatten the game at all. Even if you don't use the cheat the second time, you still know what you are faceing and so it is easier. Secondly, useing the cheat the fist time around ruins not only the end, but also the games replayablity. I want everyone to enjoy this wonderfull game in its entirety at least once. Then if you want you can use this cheat to come back and kick the games butt from here to Japan and back. So, what have we learned so far?
    DO NOT USE THIS CHEAT UNTILL AFTER YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE GAME AT LEAST ONCE!

    -Programs Required-
    All of my cheats are done right on the palm so you will need these two palm programs installed in order to use this cheat:

  • Dragon Bane 2 - the game of course (Either the full version or the demo)
  • RsrcEdit - A very good on-board resource editor

    -A few Assumptions-
    At this point I will assume several things related to the use of this cheat:

  • That you, the reader, understand the palm basics including but not limited to:
    1) Entering information into the palm device using Graffitti or the on-screen keyboard.
    2) How to install third party programs onto the palm.
  • That you already have both required programs installed onto your palm device
  • That you have read and now understand all the information included with Dragon Bane 2 and RsrcEdit, and that
    you understand the two programs themselves.
  • That you, the reader, will not hold myself or anyone else save for yourself lieable for any damages or loss of both files and
    functionallity that may result, directly or indirctly, from following the below instructions. (I don't anticipate any problems but I still gotta cover my butt... You understand right? ^_^)

    -What it Does-
    This cheat gives you:

  • Faster level ups
  • Alot of Gold
  • and alot more

    -The Cheat: Steps and Proceedures-
    Start a new game and select your party. (By going to the inns.) View a characters statistics. Write down the values under
    statistics in the game and use the hex here to convert them. Then SAVE your game. With RsrcEdit open the file called Drg2SaveMSRK. This will give you a list starting at 0 and going to 8. The 0 file is the temp and cannot be edited! (DO NOT ATTEMPT TO EDIT FILE 0!!!!) File 1 is the game you saved (assumming you have not saved any other game in the works!) Scroll down (in the hex editor) untill you find the name of the character you want to modify and do so by fiding the hex values you got from the ingame statistics and increasing there value. (i.e. - if the strenght of a character is 10 in the hex that canverts to 0A. I would find this value in the hex under the character name where I got the 10 from and change it to 20. Now when the saved game is RELOADED this chracters strenght is now 32 instead of 10!!) DO NOT TRY TO CHANGE THE CHARACTERS NAME UNLESS THE NAME YOU ARE CHANGING IT TO HAS THE SAME AMOUNT OF LETTERS!!! You must stop editing three spaces from the next characters name or you will delete it! Save your changes by clicking 'done' and open your saved game in DB2 (i.e. - RELOAD IT) and look at your changes.
